Ceramic Compost Container Workshop

With Bodemzorg, Kesem Yahav, De Boomsspijker.
I led a hands-on clay workshop where participants created their own ceramic compost containers for their gardens, handmade from clay and designed to support natural composting.
Bodemzorg project by Josh Snow and Kevin Shu LAI, an initiative focused on restoring urban soil through community composting and soil education in Amsterdam’s Nieuwmarkt neighborhood.

Creative Circular Neighborhood event
2025
With Kesem Yahav, Ecodam, dNM, De Werf.
I co-organized the Circular Neighborhood event with Ecodam and dNM (De Nieuwe Meent) at Kinderboerderij De Werf in Amsterdam-Oost. Participants created tiles from recycled plastic and leftover clay through hands-on making and experimentation. The project brought creativity, sustainability and community together, exploring how discarded materials can be transformed into something new.

Creative Circular Neighborhood event
May 11, 2025
With Kesem Yahav, Mensen Maken Amsterdam, Ecodam, Boomsspijker.
With the support of Mensen Maken Amsterdam, I co-organized a creative community event at De Boomsspijker. Participants created tiles from recycled plastic and leftover clay, which were assembled into a collaborative art piece now on display at De Boomsspijker. The event brought creativity, circularity and community together through hands-on making.

Birdhouses for the Neighborhood: 3 workshops, September 6, 2025
With Kesem Yahav and Mensen Maken Amsterdam
I designed and facilitated a community workshop where participants made ceramic birdhouses to hang around the neighborhood, helping support local wildlife. With the support of Mensen Maken Amsterdam, I organized three free workshops focused on creativity, sustainability, and community. Participants got their hands muddy while creating something useful for the neighborhood.

Recycling Plastic & Clay event
August 31, 2025
With Kesem Yahav, Ecodam and Mariotteplein.
I co-organized a creative recycling event with Ecodam during the community day at Mariotteplein in Amsterdam Oost. In the Plastic Lab, participants transformed shredded plastic waste into colorful objects. In the Ceramic Lab by Kesemy Design, people of all ages created “My Amsterdam” tiles from leftover clay, celebrating Amsterdam’s 750th birthday through hands-on making.

Goal Craft Group Workshop

With Kesem Yahav and Delitelabs
I designed and facilitated a Goal Craft workshop for a Delitelabs cohort of newcomers. Through creative and visual exercises, participants explored their goals, identified challenges and resources, and turned their ideas into achievable next steps. The workshop combined creativity, reflection and practical tools to help participants gain clarity and move from ideas to action.

Group workshop
With Kesem Yahav at Kesemy Design studio
I designed and facilitated a creative workshop exploring what supports and blocks our creative process. Through hands-on exercises, participants explored their habits and patterns, gained awareness of what helps or holds them back, and discovered practical ways to work with their creative flow. The workshop offered a playful space to reflect, experiment, and approach creativity with more ease.

Community Clay Workshop at the Boomsspijker buurtcentrum
January 15, 2026
With Kesem Yahav and De Boomsspijker.
I hosted a community clay workshop at De Boomspijker community centre, near my studio in Amsterdam. This time, participants crafted candle holders to brighten the dark winter days. It was a cold evening, but the group was warm and lovely, with hands working together and creativity filling the room.

Sustainable Ceramic Market at DDW
October 19, 2025
With Craft Council NL, Kesem Yahav
I co-organized the Sustainable Ceramic Market with Crafts Council Nederland and the (w)aardewerk community. The event featured a ceramic swap, ceramic makers and stands, learning about glazes and materials, and the chance to try the throwing wheel. Visitors could exchange an unused ceramic piece for another, giving ceramics a second life.

I have developed, designed and facilitated hundreds of clay workshops, courses, team-building sessions and creative events at my ceramic studio, Kesemy Design, from 2010 to 2026. Participants explore different clay techniques while developing skills, expressing creativity, and discovering new ways of learning through making, in a welcoming space to connect and create together.
