Creativity, Community

& Social Impact

Through Kesemy Design and in collaboration with local organisations, I have initiated, designed, and facilitated community-based creative projects that bring people together through making. My work combines creativity, sustainability, education, and social connection, creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn, collaborate, and engage with their neighbourhoods through hands-on experiences.

Working alongside community organisations, cultural initiatives, and local partners, I develop creative workshops and public projects that encourage participation, environmental awareness, and a sense of belonging.

Recycled Clay & Plastic Tiles

In collaboration with Ecodam

This neighbourhood project in Amsterdam brings together creativity, circular design, and sustainability. Together with Ecodam, I co-developed and facilitated workshops where participants transformed recycled clay and recycled plastic into handmade tiles while learning about circular materials and creative reuse.

The project encourages residents of all ages to discover the creative potential of reclaimed materials, while contributing to larger community installations and strengthening local connections through making.

Ceramic Birdhouses for the Neighbourhood

Supported by Mensen Maken Amsterdam

This community workshop invited residents of Amsterdam Centrum to design and hand-build ceramic birdhouses for local birds. Together, participants created unique pieces that were later installed throughout the neighbourhood, combining creativity, craftsmanship, biodiversity, and community engagement.

Compost Containers for Healthy Soil

In collaboration with Het Bodemzorgnetwerk

As part of the Het Bodemzorgnetwerk initiative, I co-designed and facilitated a creative workshop for residents of the Nieuwmarkt neighbourhood, where participants hand-built ceramic compost containers from clay.

The project connected creativity with environmental awareness, introducing participants to composting, healthy soil, and sustainable living through a hands-on making process. Each participant created a functional ceramic vessel while contributing to a wider neighbourhood initiative focused on caring for the local environment.
